The Dome of the mosque

Its dome is low and is decorated with arabesque. The dome is so eye-catching. Elaborate designs and colors used in tiling art of the dome make it as one of the most beautiful architectures in Iran. The light inside the mosque is funded via the latticed windows that have been made in various aspects of the dome. A beam that shines through the windows into the mosque, in addition to creating adequate lighting, displays their own supposed spiritual space.

A peacock pattern is designed in the center of the interior dome that its feathers are completed through the light that is entered inside from the vault at the top of the entrance door.

There used to be a beautiful octagon pool (Howz) in front of the mosque which was always full of water. The pool has been destroyed in the late Qajar.

Sheikh Lotfollah Mosque does not have Sahn (a courtyard in Islamic architecture) and Minaret (lighthouse or Goldaste) which is an inseparable part of the Islamic architectures.

The entrance door of the mosque is doubled and is made of the Plane tree wood. This door is still stable after four hundred years.
