The Capital of Lorestan province is Khorramabad city. Lorestan is one of the western provinces of Iran. Lorestan is full of natural, historical and cultural attractions. Falak-ol-Aflak Castle is one of the monuments of the province that is also known as Shapour Khast stronghold or twelve castle tower. It is located on top of a hill overlooking the city and the river and it dates back to the Sassanid era. It has two spectacular Museum of Archeology and Anthropology, restoration Lab antiquities, cultural and traditional tea store. Golestan source of water flows down from the northern part of the hill, and has increased the beauty of this building.
