Dimeh Spring, Shahrekord

The mountainous village Dimeh is located 10 km north-east of the town of Chelgard in Chaharmahal and Bakhtiari Province, in the vicinity of Koohrang region, in an altitude of 2240 meters above the sea level. What has made Dimeh village famous is a spring named Dimeh in its vicinity. According to the experts, its water is one of the best kinds of drinking waters in the world and has numerous therapeutic properties such as preventing the teeth from decaying and healing kidney stone. Dimeh spring is in fact the main source of Zayandeh-Rood River before Koohrang tunnels and a combination of a number of springs next to each other that lead to a magnificent spectacle within a vast plain. The existence of trees like chestnut and poplar around the spring, in addition to beautiful sceneries of  mountains and the adjacent fertile plain, have made it a real tourist attraction site. The tourists visiting this area are provided with proper accommodations.

Dimeh spring is located near a historic area related to the Ashkanid period. Two other historic areas related to the Achaemenian period and the Iron Age are 100 meters away from the spring.
